At The Butterfly Affect Inc., we believe the smallest change can ripple out to transform an entire future. We are an up-and-coming nonprofit dedicated to empowering Newark’s high school students by providing access to college and career pathways.
Through culturally grounded mentorship, practical resources, and transformative programming, we equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and community they need to break barriers, build aspirations, and transition boldly into higher education and meaningful careers.

Damasja is the passionate Founder and Executive Director of The Butterfly Affect Inc. As a proud Newark native, Damasja brings lived experience, educational expertise, and a deep commitment to equity as she works to empower the next generation.
Under her leadership, The Butterfly Affect is building a powerful community where mentorship, opportunity, and transformation come together to help Newark’s youth soar.
